My entrant for the Numb Butt Award is Jim "Rooster" Evans of Rickman, Tenn. Jim develops an attachment to a particular stand and then continues to hunt it, regardless of the fact that he has never seen a deer there. It may be adjacent to the local Winn Dixie grocery store parking lot but he doesn't care - he's convinced there's a 10-pointer bedded somewhere close by and it's just a matter of time until he shows up. He once hunted a stand that was in the most chigger-infested spot in eastern N.C. and he managed to attract a good portion of the little buggers. He has plentiful freckles and, when he got home, he had his wife take tweezers and try to pull them all off. She didn't have her eye glasses close at hand and it was several painful minutes until he realized she was trying to extract freckles. In spite of that experience, he continued to hunt that stand. He definitely qualifies for the Numb Butt Award - maybe the Numb Head Award also.
